Reisers Receive Presidential Award!

Congratulations Su and Carl!!

The MTBA would like to congratulate two great volunteers, Su and Carl Reiser, in being recognized by the White House with the President’s Volunteer Service Silver Award in recognition of their 9+ years of devotion to the Special Needs children of our town in running Monroe Special Sports. Buddy Ball was the original sport started for the children and the MTBA is very proud of the close relationship we have had with Monroe Special Sports and Buddy Ball for these 9+ years.

For those that don’t know what Buddy Ball is, it is a baseball program for the Special Needs children of our town. Every Sunday from 10am-noon during the Spring, our Special Athletes are competing and having fun at James Monroe Park. We welcome you to come down next spring to watch and, even better, to volunteer, as Buddy Ball celebrates its 10th anniversary. Stay tuned for some special events as we celebrate the 10th anniversary in the Spring of 2016.
